All Ruby Cakes

Amy and Heather (sisters) run the blog All Ruby Cakes. All April long they are celebrating both of their birthdays and their blog's first birthday with a Birthday Bash! They were really looking forward to reviewing our tights for this special blog event. This is what they had to say about the Charcoal and Teal Microfiber Tights I sent them:

"First of all, these tights are SUPER soft! I can't even express how amazingly comfortable these tights are!!... They're not confining or constricting at all!... I know that some tights can be a hassle to get on, but these ones are quite roomy and have plenty of give to them, which allows them to go on super easily! And, of course, I love the colors! I like that the material isn't thick at all, but somehow they provide a nice solid color, almost giving it the appearance of a very thin legging. Also, these colors work so well with many of the items I have in my wardrobe!"

Artists Wanted | Exhibition

We Love Colors and KRELwear couldn't help but catch the attention of the gallery goers at New York's Artists Wanted Exhibition last month. The KRELwear models, dressed in bright, bold colors from head to toe (courtesy of We Love Colors gloves and tights), looked fabulous dancing around the gallery to the great music and working the crowd with their neon glow. We Love Colors Hits WMC2010

WMC is a fun time for the music lovers in Miami. This year We Love Colors sponsored several different events throughout the week, including our very own WMC party, STAND UP, at the Chesterfield Hotel + Lounge in South Beach. Our beautiful and talented We Love Colors promo models and dancers kept the party moving throughout the night to the sounds of local and international DJs Sisco Delbello, Miss P, Matt Harris, Craig Be, and James Stratus.

 

We Love Colors was a hit at Nikki Beach on Saturday March 27th.  In collaboration with Dolce and Purple Music, We Love Colors made the party more colorful with our promo models giving away FREE product samples and other fun goodies. Abstract and contemporary Miami artist, Caroline Geys, was there doing her custom tights painting live on site!

Fishnet Fear Faced!

Blogger Dana from The Art of Accessories  is a blogger who was very scared of fishnets. She was unsure of what to do with them. When she saw that we have over 51 colors in the fishnets as well as the tights, she decided to give it a try. She ordered a green pair from us. The good news is that we have them for plus sized women too!

March Music Contest Winners

You waited all month long and sent in some awesome tracks, and now the time has finally come to announce the March Music Contest Winners! We received over 120 entries throughout the month of March and had a great time listening to them all. It was amazing to find out how you see We Love Colors musically and how you connect fashion to sound. Though the decision was really hard to make, we do have our winners. 

Congratulations to Doozywhoop (Lauren M.) who has won the Grand Prize of a $100 We Love Colors gift certificate! She submitted Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap via Twitter saying that the song uplifts her and describes how she feels when she pulls on our tights! Check out the video for the song below.

Miami Valley Ballet Theatre

Michelle Davis, the Director and Owner of the Miami Valley Ballet Theatre, came to We Love Colors when she had a show to put together and needed tights for her girls! This is what she had to say:

"The attached pictures is a group of my 7-8 year old dancers preparing to be Jesters in the ballet, Cinderella. Here they were trying on their tights (Scarlet Red Kids Microfiber Tights)...from your company...with their jester costumes made by our costume mistress!!! The tights look GREAT! Thanks so much!"

KRELwear "Rebel Yell" Fashion Show

On March 25, KRELwear held an amazing fashion show at the Eden Roc in Miami Beach titled "Rebel Yell," showcasing their new Fall 2010 line. The collection was made to reflect "the muted tones of Iceland's natural, volcanic landscape- juxtaposed with moments of brightness, like the pools of nearly-neon geothermal water that dot the treeless fields of lava rock." In the video you can see We Love Colors Microfiber Solid Color Tights, Vertical Striped Thigh Highs, and some custom faded tights made especially for the show!

Star Impulse

Kelly M. of Star Impulse loves to speak her mind and let her blog followers know the truth about the products she reviews. We were excited to get her honest opinion of our Spruce Green Microfiber Tights. We were so glad to hear that she loved them. This is what Kelly had to say:

"Usually I stick to leggings instead of tights because the tights I have are sooo ITCHY... I didn't scratch my legs AT ALL when I wore these. They were just so soft and comfortable. Also no runs or snags either! ...I actually went bicycle riding in these babies... They're also not as see-through as most tights are, I wouldn't say they're a lot thicker but they are more solid of a color"

Colored Shadow Box

Leilanie E. was really thinking outside of the box with this one - a shadow box with lots and lots of color! There's not just one way to put our brightly colored legwear to use. Afrobeta EP Release Party

Miami psychedelic/funk band, Afrobeta, celebrated the release of their debut EP, Do You Party?, at 7th Circuit Studios on Friday, March 19. The party was a huge success with Afrobeta putting on an excellent show for their fans. Cuci Amador, the passionate vocals of the band, was seen glowing on stage as she wore our We Love Colors Neon Yellow Solid Color Halter Dress and #7214 Splash Color Knee Highs.
